1878.] OF THE SENATE 867

On motion by Mr. McLane, it was,

Ordered, That no person otber than a member or officer of
the Senate be permitted to approach the Secretary's desk, or
the desk of the President of the Senate for the purpose of ex-
amining the bills thereon during the continuance of the term
of this General Assembly, and the Assistant-Doorkeeper is

charged with the execution of this order.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared, and deliv-
ered the following message:

By THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 29th, 1878.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We respectfully ask your Honorable Body to return to this
House for further consideration, the Senate bill entitled an Ast
to authorize the Mayor and City Council of the City of An-
napolis to issue bonds on the credit of the city to pay its
debts.

Acting Chief Clerk.

Mr. Bannon presented the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

March 29th, 1878.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message requesting the Senate to
return to your Honorable Body the Senate bill entitled an
Act to authorize the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of the
City of Anuapolis to issue bonds, &c., and herewith return

said bill.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,
Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

House bill entitled an Act to refund to Jacob and Henry
Crone, a sum of money erroneously paid into the Treasury
of Maryland,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows :
