764 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 26,

House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to Charlotte Hall School, in St. Mary's County,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. President, Hill,

Bannon, Humphreys,
Combs, of Allegany, Joyce,
Combs, of St. Mary's, Lee,
Cooper, Miller,
Freeman, Steiner,
Gorman, Stump,
Hepbron, Welfley—16.

NEGATIVE—Mr. Newcomer—1.
Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Miller, from a Select Committee, (by unanimous con-
sent) reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Cecil County to refund to John F. Price, of
Cecil County, guardian of Catharine S. Mclntire, a sum of
money erroneously paid into the Treasury of said county.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Lee, from the Committee on Corporations, (by unani-
mous consent) reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Powhatan
Gas Light Company of Baltimore County.

Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to further supplement an Act
entitled an Act to incorporate companies to make several
turnpike roads through Baltimore County and for other pur-
poses.

Which was read the second time.
Also, unfavorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments Section 14, of the Act entitled an Act to incor-
porate a company to build a turnpike road from Liberty
town, Frederick County, through Johnsville to Pipe Creek,
passed at the Session of 1864, Chapter 338.

Which was adopted.
