Mr. McLane submitted the following amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend section, "Reformatory and other Institutions."
In second line, after the word "necessary," insert "and for
additional improvement twenty thousand dollars."

Under the he head of "Eeformatory and other Institutions,"
and at the end thereof, add the following :

"For heating and cooking apparatus, water supply, and
cisterns and drains, gas supply and furniture for the House
of Correction, seventy-four thousand dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary."

Which were adopted.

Mr. Combs, of St. Mary's, submitted the following
amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 8, page 8, strike out "eleven thousand and twenty-
five," and insert "eight thousand."

Which was adopted.

Mr. McLane submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add under head of "Miscellaneous Appropriations," "For
Payment of money advanced to the State by the Farmers'
and Merchants' National Bank, of Baltimore, and Alexander
Brown & Sons, of Baltimore, with interest thereon, at six
