"An Act to authorize the Trustees of the African Metho-
dist Church, or Society, on Fells Point, Baltimore, to sell
Lot No. 590, and to re-invest the proceeds,

Section 1. Be it enacted by Hie General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Trustees of the African Methodist Church, or
Society, on Fells Point, be, and they are hereby, authorized
and empowered to sell and convey to such person or persons,
and for such consideration as they may deem proper, that lot
or parcel of ground situate, lying and being on Fells Point,
in Baltimore City, distinguished on the plat thereof by the
number (590) five hundred and ninety, which by a Deed of
Trust dated March 24th, A. D., 1812, and recorded among
the Land Records of Baltimore County, in Liber W. G., No.
118, folio 87, &c., was assigned and transferred by Frederick
Shaffer and others, to Nathaniel Montgomery and others,
Trustees, and to appropriate the proceeds arising from such
sale to such investments for the benefit of the African Meth-
odist Church, or Society, on Fells Point, MS they may deem
proper.

"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage."

Which were adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the second time and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Comptroller
and Treasurer to adjust and settle the account of the State
against the Chester River Steamboat Company,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:

Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 2 and 5, of
the Acts of 1872, Chapter 264, relating to the licensing of
gaugers of casks and liquids in the City of Baltimore,
and to re-enact the same with amendments,
