Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act for the relief of John Swanger,
and authorizing the County Commissioners of Garrett
County to correct the errors in the assessment of his property.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the, Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the fees of the
States's Attorney of Carroll County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act for the payment of an annual
pension to Henry E. Dennison, Annapolis, who received dis-
abling injuries while in the employ of the State,

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to authorize and direct the
County Commissioners of Harford County, to pay to George
H. Merritt and M. H. Keene the sum of $151.58, the same
being erroneously paid by said Merritt, &c.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Stump, Peter and Sulivane.

On motion by Mr. Ford,
At 2.55, P. M., the Senate went into Executive Session:

At 3.25, P. M., the Senate resumed the consideration of
Legislative business.

On motion by Mr. Wilson, (by unanimous consent,).

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Chesapeake
Bay and its Tributaries to introduce a bill to be entitled an
Act to authorize the residents of Calvert and St. Mary's
Counties, to catch oysters for sale, with scoops, scrapes and
dredges within certain waters in said counties.

On motion by Mr. Gorman, it was

Ordered, That the Senate now take a recess until eight
o'clock, and that during the Evening Session it shall be in
order to consider any bill on the files except bills appropria-
ting money from State Treasury.

So the Senate, at 3.30 P. M., took a recess until 8 P. M.
