The question recurring on the motion submitted by Mr.
Sulivane at the Morning Session, to have the amendment sub-
mitted by Mr. Dennis printed, and the said bill, together
with the amendments, be made the special order of the day
for Monday next,

It was rejected.
At 6.20, P. M.,

Mr. Sulivane moved that the Senate adjourn, and make the
bill under consideration the order of the day for Monday next,
at 1 o'clock, P. M.

Which was rejected.

The question then recurring on the amendment to the
amendment, submitted by Mr. Dennis at the Morning Ses-
sion.

It was rejected by yeas and nays, as follows :

Mr. Sulivane submitted the following amendment to the

amendment:

AMENDMENT PEOPOSED.

Add the following to Section 1, "provided that nothing in

this or any preceding section of this Act, shall be construed

in any manner so as to divert whatever sums of money may

accrue from the said Railroad Company to the Treasury of

Maryland from the Free School Fund, but the same shall in

every case be paid into and credited to the said Free School
Fund, as they shall be accounted for to the Comptroller of
the Treasury."
