Mr. Stump submitted the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add to the amendment to Section 1: "And provided fur-
ther, that nothing in this Act shall prevent, the use of fyke
nets in the Susquehanna River."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was then read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays, as follows :

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay Samuel Burgess, late Collector of State Taxes in Kent
County, the amount overpaid by him into the Treasury,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays,
as follows :

House bill entitled an Act to prevent the sale of spirituous
and fermented liquors within the distance of one-half mile
from the main exhibition hall of the Agricultural and Me-
chanical Society of Harford County, during the days of any

exhibitions of said Society,
