Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and re-
lurned

Senate Joint Eesolutions in relation to the bill now pend-
ing before Congress granting pensions to the survivors of the
soldiers, sailors and marines who served in the war with
Mexico.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."
Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to pay Nathaniel Watts, of
Baltimore County, a sum of money due him for constructing
a stone wall at State Cattle Scales.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled aa Act to provide for a monument to
the memory of the late Hon. Thomas G. Pratt,

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Also, delivered

House bill entitled an Act to prohibit the sale of spirituous
or fermented liquors, or lager beer in the town of Laurel,
Prince George's County, Maryland, and at any place in Prince
George's County, Maryland, within three miles of the pres-
ent site of the office of the Commissioners of Laurel.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Temperance.
