House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower the
Governor to appoint additional Justices of the Peace, in the
. Fifth and Fourth Election Districts, in Montgomery County.

Mr. Cooper, from a Select Committee, reported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Section 946, Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, Volume 2, title "Balti-
more City, " sub-title "Witnesses, " and to re-enact said sec-
tion with amendments.

Which was read the second time.

Senate bill entitled an Act granting the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to the gift, devise and
bequest in the last will of Sarah Heller, late of Washington
County, deceased, to the German Reformed Church of Clear
spring, Washington County, Maryland,

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Senate bill entitled an Act giving the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland, to a gift by Charles S. Par-
ran, of Calvert County, of 75 shares of the stock of the Na-
tional Mechanics' Bank of Baltimore, to the Vestry of St.
Paul's Parish, in Calvert County, by Charles S. Parran of
said county,

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as
follows:
