INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Hall,

A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to issue its certificate of
stock to an amount not exceeding six million dollars
for the purpose of providing the money to pay costs
and expenses of condemning, opening, grading, pav-
ing and curbing the streets, avenues, lanes and alleys
of the annex portion of Baltimore city and to author-
ize the appointment of a commission to be known as
the 'Annex Improvement Commission,' and to define
the duties of said commission."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Baltimore city delegation.

By Mr. Amiss,

A bill entitled "An Act to provide for the election
of a Supervising Principal for the Public Schools of
Montgomery county."

Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Education.

By Mr. Goslin,

A bill entitled "An Act to further amend the char-
ter of the Ridgeley Savings Bank of Caroline county,
Maryland, and to change the name of the same."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.

Mr. Linthicum from Committee on Elections, re-
ported unfavorably.

House bill, File No. 99, entitled "An Act to amend
Article 83 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
'Elections,' as re-enacted by chapter 202 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1896, by add-
ing thereto 13 additional sections, under the sub-title
'Corrupt Practices,' to follow section 154 as now en-
acted."

Mr. Norris moved to substitute the bill for the un-
favorable report.
