INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Carey,

A bill entitled "An Act to enable George A. Har-
rison, collector of State and county taxes for the first
collection district of Worcester county, Maryland, for
the year 1899, to enforce the payment of taxes not
heretofore collected by him."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Worcester delegation.
Also,

A bill entitled "An Act to enable Joseph G. Har-
rison, collector of State and county taxes for the first
collection district of Worcester county, Maryland, for
the year 1898, to enforce the payment of taxes not
heretofore collected by him."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Worcester delegation.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS.

On motion of Mr. Bosse,

The vote by which the following amendment was
adopted:

Strike out the "enacting clause,"

Was reconsidered and carried.

The House then considered,

House bill, File No. 214, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments, section 275 of Article
27 of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Crimes
and Punishments, sub-title 'Vagrants and Tramps.' "

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

That none of the provisions of this Act shall apply
to "Frederick county."
Which was adopted.
Exempt "Harford county."
Which was adopted.

That "Cecil county" be exempted from this bill.
Which was adopted.

In line 45 strike out "not less than $100."
Which was adopted.
