authorize and require the Board of County School
Commissioners of said county to borrow money for
the purpose of repairing and improving said building;
building au addition thereto, and providing heating
apparatus therefor, by issuing bonds to be endorsed
by the County Commissioners of Dorchester county,
authorizing said County Commissioners to levy taxes
on the assessable property of said county to redeem
said bonds."

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Dorchester delegation.

Also,

Senate bill, File No. 59, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact sections 33, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215 and 216
of Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
'Allegany County,' sub-title County Commissioners
and Roads,' and to re-enact the same with amendments,
and add certain additional sections lo said Article 1,
sub-title Roads,' and to provide for a road directory
and a road engineer in Allegany county, and to place
all the public roads in said Allegany county under the
control of the road directory, to be created by this
Act,"

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Roads and Highways.

the charter of the Union Railroad Company of Balti-
more, and thereby to fix the number of its directors,
provide for their election, and the election of the
president of the company."

Committee on Corporations.

Senate bill, File No. 146, entitled "An Act to au-
thorize and direct the County Commissioners of Balti-
more county, to pay to Eugene Burke, Deputy Sheriff,
a sum sufficient to reimburse him for expenses incur-
red in his defence in a suit brought against him as
