Mr. Benson, from Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

House bill, File No. 342, entitled "Au Act to amend
the charter and extend the powers of The Sisters of
the Third Order of St. Francis of the city of Balti-
more, so as to enable said corporation to equip and
maintain a school for the education and graduation of
trained nurses."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

Also unfavorably,

House bill, File No. 263, entitled "An Act to regu-
late business and trade in cities having a population
of 10,000 or over, declaring it unlawful and making it
a misdemeanor to transact business in violation of the
provisions thereof, and providing a penalty for such
violation ; said Act to be titled 'Department Stores.' "

Which unfavorable report was adopted.

Also favorably,

House bill, File No. 358, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the Independent Citizens' Union of Maryland."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

House bill, File No. 308, entitled "An Act to ratify
and amend the charter and extend and enlarge the
powers of the Pocomoke Telephone Company of Poco-
moke city, Worcester county, Maryland."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be

engrossed for a third reading.

House bill, File No. 178, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the Octoraro Granite Company of Cecil county,
Maryland."
