motor vehicles and providing for the registration of
the same, and uniform rules regulating the use and
speed thereof."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After section 7 insert the following to be 8, and to
read as follows:

"Section 8. All motor vehicles used in this State
shall be provided with a suitable lock to lock the
starting lever, throttle or switch by which the vehicle
is started and no person shall allow any motor vehicle
operated by him to stand or remain unattended on any
road in said State, or street, or road, in any town or
city in said State without having first locked the
lever throttle or switch by which the vehicle may be
set in motion."

Which was adopted.

Section 8 of the bill to be numbered "Section 9" and
section 9 of the bill to be numbered "Section 10."

Which was adopted.

In line 5, section 4, sub-division 1, insert "ten" in-
stead of "six," so as to read "a speed of one mile in
ten minutes."

Which was adopted.

In line 8, section 4, sub-division 2, insert "ten" in-
stead of "seven" so as to read, "a speed of one mile
in ten minutes, etc."

Which was adopted.

In line 11, section 4, sub-division 3, insert "six" in-
stead of "three," so as to read, "a speed of one mile
in six minutes, etc."

Which was adopted.

And in line 13, same section and same sub-division,
insert "ten" instead of "six." so as to read "speed
shall be reduced to a mile in ten minutes."

Which was adopted.

Said bill was read a second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
