A bill entitled "An Act to regulate the hours of
labor in mining, quarrying and manufacturing, in the
State of Maryland, and to regulate the hours of labor
in the construction of public works by the State,
counties and municipalities, and providing eight hours
a day for such employment, and penalties for the vio-
lation of this Act; also to repeal Article 100 of the
Code of Public General Laws of the State of Mary-
land, title 'Work Hours Of,' in factories, and to
change the title thereof, so as to read 'Hours of Work
in Mining, Quarrying, and Manufacturing upon pub-
lic construction.' "

Committee on the Judiciary.

A bill entitled "An Act to authorize and direct the
School Commissioners of Washington county to ap-
propriate a sum of money for the purchase of a site
and the erection of a school house for the white
children, near Weverton in said county."

A bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments sections 311 J and 311 K of Article 11 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
'Frederick County,' sub-title 'Liquors and Intoxicat-
ing Drinks,' relating to the sale of spirituous and fer-
mented liquors and lager beer within the police limits
of the city of Frederick, in said county."
