Said bill was then sent to the Senate.

House bill, File No. 199, entitled "An Act to amend
the charter of the Home of the Friendless, a corpora-
tion, carrying on beneficient work in Baltimore city,
created under the Act of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the January session, 1852. chap-
ter 231."

Whereas, said corporation, prior to the year 1859,
increased the number of persons composing the Board
of Government mentioned in its constitution or instru-
ment of incorporation, but said amendment was not
made known, acknowledged and recorded as directed
by said Act, therefore, for the purpose of curing said
omission and of further amending the charter of said
corporation.

Which was read a third time and passed by yeas
and nays as follows :
