Code of Public General Laws, as repealed and re-
enacted by Act 1902, chapter 495, title 'Evidence,'
sub-title 'Competency of Witnesses.' "

Mr. Linthicum offered the following proposed
amendments:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amendment to follow at the end of the second sec-
tion.

"Provided however, the provisions of this Act shall
not apply to cases now pending in any of the Courts
of this State, nor in anywise affect the present rights
and privileges of litigants therein."

Which were adopted.

Mr. Collins, as Chairman of the Committee of the
whole, made the report that the amendments were
adopted.

The bill, as amended, was ordered re-engrossed for
a third reading, and to be placed on the third reading
file.

Maryland, originating in the House of Delegates, were
presented to the Governor for his approval this day,
at 5 o'clock, p. m.:

Chapter K). "An Act to repeal section 202 C, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Harford County,'
sub-title 'Taxes and County Treasurer,' as enacted by
the Act of 1900, chapter 529, and re-enact the same
with amendments.' "

Chapter 11. "An Act to provide for a General In-
dex of the Equity Records of Allegany county, from
the year 1816, to July 1st, 1904."
