AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Strike out section 2, and insert the following:

"Section 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage."

Which was adopted, and

Said bill, as amended, read the second time, and
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Charles, from Select Committee, reported favor-
ably,

House bill, File No. 197, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact, with amendments, chapter 613 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at
its January Session, 1890, the same being sections 403
to 423, inclusive, of Article 22 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, as amended by said chapter
613 of said Acts of 1890, title 'Washington County,'
sub-title 'Williamsport,' and also to repeal and re-en-
act, with amendments, chapter 725 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January
Session, 1900."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

And
On motion of Mr. Tennant,

The rules were suspended, and the bill placed on
its third reading by yeas and nays, as follows:
