favorably, the following order with amendment.
Ordered, That the Comniittee on Engrossed Bills
and Resolutions, be authorized and empowered to em-
ploy a clerk for the purpose of enabling the committee
to effectually carry out the new system inaugurated
by this House in the matter of engrossing the bills of
its Members.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
"That the pay of said clerk shall commence from
date of qualification, and that a suitable room be as-
signed the Chairman of the Committee on Engrossed
Bills for the use of said committee."
