and the same is excepted from the operation of this
Act, which shall not be construed to apply in any
manner to Worcester County waters.

Sec. 26. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage, and that all laws of
Maryland inconsistent with this Act, be and the same
are hereby repealed."

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 4 of amendment offered by Senator Robin-
son, after the words "Baltimore City," in line 5 of
said section 4, insert the following: "One of said Com-
missioners shall be selected from the political party
which shall poll the next highest vote in' the State,
and shall be appointed upon the recommendation of
the State Central Committee of said party."

In section 4, line 17, after the words "six in num-
ber," insert the following: "Two of whom shall belong
to the political party polling the next highest vote in
the State at the general election of said State preced-
ing the appointment of said .assistants who shall be
appointed upon the recommendation of the State Cen-
tral Committee of said party."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 8, line 13, after the word "district" insert
the following, and without any cost whatsoever to said
boatman for said lease for three years."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

"Provided, however nothing in this Act shall apply
to the land lying under the waters of Talbot county."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

"Provided, that nothing in this Act shall apply to
the lands under the waters of Anne Arundel county."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

"Provided, that nothing in this bill shall apply to
the lands lying under the waters of Somerset county."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

"Provided, however, that nothing in this Act shall
apply to the lands lying under the waters of Wicomico,
St. Mary's. Queen Anne's, Dorchester, Calvert and
Kent counties."
