ized by this Act shall be paid out of the General
Treasury of the State of Maryland, upon requisitions
made by the Shell Fish Commissioners, endorsed by
the Comptroller of the State, but the same shall be re-
paid out of the first revenues arising from the leasing
of lands for oyster culture, contemplated by this Act.
The commissioners shall, immediately after their
appointment, file in the office of the clerk of the Court
of Appeals separate bonds, with a surety or sureties
to be approved by the State Treasurer in the sum of
$25,000, conditioned for the faithful performance of
the duties imposed by this Act. The said commis-
sioners shall take and subscribe before the Governor
of the State the official oath prescribed by the Consti-
tution.
"Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
shall keep at their office in the city of Baltimore
books of record in which shall be recorded all leases,
assignments and other conveyances of land, to be used
for the planting or cultivation of oysters in accordance
with this Act. A set of clear and simple forms for
all subsequent conveyances of any kind shall be pre-
pared by the commissioners under the direction of the
Attorney General, and no title shall be vested in any
lessee or any transfers of any interest or estate ac-
quired under this Act until the conveyance or convey-
ances evidencing such leases or transfers shall have
been recorded in the office of the Shell Fish Commis-
sioners.
"Sec. 6 And be it enacted, That the Shell Fish Com
missioners shall, as soon as they duly qualify, cause
to be prepared a set of maps showing the area which
shall be available for oyster culture under the provi-
sions of this Act The said Commissioners shall divide
such area into districts, which shall be numbered by
him. A map shall be prepared for each district,
and as each map is compiled the district designated
by such maps shall be declared by said Commis-
sioners to be open for oyster culture under the terms of
this Act, and notices stating that such districc or dis-
tricts are open for oyster culttire shall be inserted by
said commissioners in at least one daily newspaper pub-,
