he is about to vote or place any distinguishing mark
upon his ballot, or any person who shall interfere or
attempt to interfere with any voter when inside said
enclosed space or when marking his ballot, or who
shall endeavor to induce any voter before voting to
show how he marks or has marked his ballot or other-
wise violate any provisions of this Act for which no
punishment, is prescribed shall be punished by fine of
not less than five dollars nor more than one hundred
dollars, and election officers shall report any person so
doing to the officer at the polls whose duty it shall be
to see that the offender is duly brought before the
proper Court or order his arrest forthwith.

"Sec. 14. Any public officer upon whom a duty is
imposed by this Act who shall wilfully neglect to per-
form such duty or who shall wilfully perform it in
such a way as to hinder the object of this Act shall be
punished by a fine of not less than five nor more than
three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in jail for
not more than one year, Or by both tine and imprison-
ment in the discretion of the Court.

"Sec. 15. Any ballot judge who shall place his in-
itials upon any ballot save when a ballot is delivered
to a voter in the polling room, and any officer or any
other person whatever who shall wilfully conceal, or
retain any ballot duly prepared for voting or wilfully
break the seals of any package or abstract any ballot
therefrom or have any such ballot except for the law-
ful purposes in this Act provided, in his possession
before or during an election shall be punished by a
fine of not less than five or more than three hundred
dollars or shall be imprisoned in jail for not less than
thirty days nor more than one year or by both such
fine or imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.

"Sec. 16. And at every general registration held in
Montgomery county subsequent to the passage of this
Act there shall be provided in the registration books
an additional column headed affiliation, and the Board
of Registry shall enter into this column the name of
the political party, if any. to which the voter is in-
clined and with which the voter desired to have him-
self recorded as affiliated. It shall be the duty of the
