On motion of Mr. Roth, it was

Ordered, That the Clerk of the City Delegation be
paid the sum of $5.00 per diem, accounting from
January 6th, 1904.

Which was rejected.

Mr. Johnston submitted the following report:

April 4th, 1904.
To the Senate and House of Delegates of Md.

Gentlemen: The conference committee of the two
houses on the disagreeing votes upon house amend-
ments to Senate Bill File No. 223 beg leave to report
as follows: We recommended that the House recede
from its amendments and that the following be
adopted.

That inline 8 of section 3 of said bill strike out the
following words "By the governing body of each of
the political parties" and insert the following:

"By the committeemen of each election district and
the committeemen shall be elected at each primary
election for each of the election districts of Mont-
gomery county and each candidate for committeeman
shall pay one dollar to the supervisors of election.

And in line 6, section 13 strike out the following
words "or for any reason."
