Mr. Hopkins, from Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

Senate bill, File No. 428, entitled. "Au Act to incor-
porate the town of Vienna, in Dorchester county,
Maryland."

Which was read the second time.

The Chair distributed the following message from
the Senate :

House bill, File No. 702, entitled "An Act to repeal
sections 205 to 213 both inclusive of Article 6, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Caroline County,'
sub-title 'Roads,' and sections 1 and 2 of Article 25, of
the Code of Public General Laws, title 'County Com-
missioners,' and all other laws so far as said sections
and laws may be inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act, and providing for the submission thereof to
the qualified voters of Caroline county at the election
to be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday
of November, 1904."

Endorsed : "Read the third time and passed by
yeas and nays as amended."

AMENDMENTS PRO POSED.

Strike out "Sections 2, 3 and 4" of the bill, on page
9 and 10. insert new "Section 2;" to read as follows :

Section 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on July 1st, 1904.

Strike out all after the word "Act" in line 6.

In section 3, line 15 strike out the word "this" and
insert the word "his."
