Mr. Benson, from Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

House bill, File No. 848, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the Maryland Company."

Which was read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Also favorably,

Senate bill, File No. 346, entitled "An Act to amend
the charter of the Howard Production Company of
Howard county, and to change the corporate name of
said company by omitting the words, 'of Howard
County.' "

Which was read the second time.
Also favorably,

Senate bill, File No. 314, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the United Trust Company of Maryland."

Which was read the second time.
Also favorably with amendments,

Senate bill, File No. 324, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate The Fidelity Appraising and Auditing Com-
pany of Baltimore city."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 5. Strike out all of section 5 and insert the
following: "Be it further enacted, That the said cor-
poration shall have the power to examine buildings,
appraise same and their contents, make drawings,
plans and inventories, preserve records of the same,
audit buildings accounts, adjust losses, make up
notices and proofs of losses, keep duplicate of insur-
ance policies of life insurance, contract or indemnity
insurance, contract of casuality insurance and any
other form of insurance contracts, audit accounts of
individuals, firms and corporation, and do any work .
for the protection of the assured."
