AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Substitute the following after section 7 :

"Section 8. Be it further enacted, That all State
contracts made under the provisions of this Act, be
awarded after due advertisement, the proposals being
publicly opened, and the award being made to the
lowest responsible bidder, who shall furnish bond to
twice the amount of the contract."

Which was adopted.

"Change the number of section 8 to section 9."
Which was adopted.
