late the hours of labor in mining, quarrying and
manufacturing, in the State of Maryland, and to reg-
ulate the hours of labor in the construction of public
works by the State, counties and municipalities; and
providing eight hours a day for such employment,
and penalties for the violation of this Act; also to re-
peal Article 100 of the Code of Public General Laws
of the State of Maryland, title 'Work, Hours of,' in
factories, and to change the title thereof, so as to read
'Hours of Work in Mining, Quarrying and Manufac-
turing upon Puplic Construction.' "

be known under the sub-title 'Prison Made Articles,'
and to be designated as section 229 A."
