orize the Board of Public Works to provide for the
securing of broken bricks, crushed stone, plaster and
other material, in the burnt district of Baltimore city,
and to transport the same to the oyster beds in the
Chesapeake bay and its tributaries, in need of material
to replenish the shells, natural rocks necessary for
the growth of the oysters, and to provide for the trans-
portation of the same from Baltimore city to said
oyster beds."
Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Hill, it was
Ordered, That all orders in contested election cases,
which have been referred to Ways and Means Com-
mittee, be referred by them to the Committee on Elec-
tions, and that all future orders of such nature go to
the Committee on Elections.
Which was adopted.
RESOLUTION.
Be it resolved by the Mayor, Counsellor and Alder-
men of the city of Annapolis, That our Senator and
Delegates are hereby requested and urged to en-
deavor to pass the bill introduced by Senator Gadd,
now pending before the Senate, authorizing and em-
powering the city of Annopolis to acquire ownership
of its water supply, and to protect its stock and its
citizens against foreign ownership and monopolization
of this necessity of life; and be it further
Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be sent to
our Senator and the Anne Arundel delegation, and
the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the
House.
