A bill, entitled "An Act to amend the charter of
the Calvert Life Insurance and Security Company of
Baltimore, Maryland, being chapter 297 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the Jan-
uary Session 1902.

Which was read the first time, and referred to the
Committee on Corporations.
On motion of Mr. Hill,

The House resolved itself into a Committee of the
Whole to amend

House bill, File No. 316, entitled "An Act to estab-
lish and promote the industry of oyster culture in the
State of Maryland."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

After the word "State" in line 3, section 1, insert
the words "excepting such waters as may be em-
braced in each and every tributary of the Chesapeake
Bay."

Which was adopted, and the bill as amended, was
ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
