to the Hon. Louis E. McComas, a Senator in the Con-
gress of the United States from this State, for the term
ending March 4, 1911.

On motion of Senator Gorman,

The Joint Convention adjourned until 12 o'clock to-
morrow.

The House resumed business, and
Mr. Linthicum submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

January 28, 1904.

Gentlemen of the Senate :

We propose, with your concurrence, the appoint-
ment of a Joint Special Committee of five, three on the
part of the House, and two on the part of the Senate,

to investigate and report to the General Assembly
upon the affairs of St. John's College, Annapolis, in
accordance with- Resolution No. 41 of the General
Assembly of 1832.

We name the said committee on the part of the
House, Messrs. Linthicum, Carey, Henkel.

Chief Clerk.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

BILLS—THIRD READING.

House bill File No. 35, entitled "An Act to repeal
section 114 and 115 of Article 21, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title 'Talbot county,' sub-title 'Fish,'
as amended by chapter 183 of the Acts of 1902, of the
General Assembly of Maryland, and re-enact the same
with amendments."

Which was read a third time and passed by yeas
