House bill, File No. 696, entitled "An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments section 48 of Article 43
of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Health,'
sub-title 'Practitioners of Medicine,' as repealed and
re-enacted by chapter 612 of the Acts of 1902.' "

Which was read the second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Milbourne, from the Committee on Chesapeake
Bay and Tributaries, reported favorably,

House bill, File No. 700, entitled "An Act to regu-
late the taking or catching of oysters in the Patuxent
river and its tributaries, within the waters of Calvert
Charles and St. Mary's counties, and in the tributaries
of the Potomac river within Charles and St. Mary's
counties."

Which was read the second time and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Benson, from Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably, with amendments,

House bill, File No. 639, entitled "An Act to incor-
porate the Farmers' and Merchants' Bank of Chester-
town, Maryland."

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Insert in section 3, line 10, after "accepting mort-
gages thereon," the following:

"And pay such dividends on the capital stock of the
said bank to the stockholders of the said bank as will
not impair the capital stock of said Farmers' and Mer-
chants' Bank of Chestertown, and pay such interest
on deposit as may be provided by the rules and regu-
lations of said bank.'"'

Which was adopted.

Strike out the present Section 7, and insert the fol-
lowing :

"Section 7. And be it, further enacted that the said
Farmers and Merchants Bank of Chestertown, Mary-
land, is authorized to receive deposits of money, checks
and commercial paper from any individual or admin-
istrator committee, guardian, receiver, assignee, trus-
