performance of their duties as prescribed in this Act,
They shall also be allcwed to employ a competent sur-
veyor, who shall also be a hydrographic engineer,
upon a salary to be named by said commissioners, not
exceeding $2500 a year. All salaries, outlays and dis-
bursements authorized by this Act shall be paid out
of the General Treasury of the State of Maryland,
upon requisitions made by the Shell Fish Commis-
sioners, indorsed by the Comptroller of the State, but
the same shall be repaid out of the first revenues aris-
ing from the leasing of lands for oyster culture, con-
templated by this Act. The commissioners shall, im-
mediately after their appointment, file in the office of
the Clerk of the Court of Appeals separate bonds, with
a surety or sureties to be approved by the State
Treasurer in the sum of $25,000, conditioned for the
faithful performance of the duties imposed by this Act.
The said commissioners shall take and subscribe be-
fore the Governor of the State the official oath pre-
scribed by the Constitution.

Whenever the word "Commissioner" occurs in this
bill substitute "Commissioners."

Insert in lieu of section 25, the following:
"Sec, 25 And be it enacted, That the land beneath
the waters within the limits of Worcester county be
and the same is excepted from the operation of this
Act, which shall not be construed to apply in any
manner to Worcester county waters."
