Upon Motion made to ye Worll.Court pr Capt. Wm: Whittington to sd Admrs of Nicholas Carpenters Estate the Admrs afd Did Confess judgmt to what sd Whittington Should make appear hereafter to be due from sd Estate to sd Whittington
Upon Petion of Gideon Tillman. to the Wor.ll Court agt ye Admrx of Nicholas Carpenters Estate: judgmt was pr Admr Confest for four hundred pounds of tobacco if Assetts.
Majr Robert King & Capt John: King humbly desires the Worll: Court to Sett a Rate upon thee prices of tobacco & Porke they being Admrs to Nicholas Carpenter deceased. the Courts price is 6s. pr hundred for tob. & 9s for Porke
Bryan: Snee Plt. Somerset County Ss Contra: } Robert Pollock of this County Planter otherwise Called Robert Polke was attached Robert: Polke Dft to answer unto Bryan: Snee of the Same County Planter, of a plea of tresps upon ye Case &ca ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ And whereupon the Said Bryan by Sam: Worthington his Attorney Complaineth that Whereas the aforesd Robert: Polke about ye 12th. day of October ano Dom 1693 at Monokin within ye jurisdiction of this Court, did Several times and at Sundry places, falsly invent, Scandelously & maliciously Reproach him the aforesd Bryan Snee (who then liveing in good fame & Credit, & of good repute amongst his Maties good people of this County, and by his labour & industry hath gott a Sufficient Competency whereby to live Credibly on, And to pay every one their just dues and demands) in reporting that he had Secretly & felloniousy, Stolen & Carryed away from him the Said Robert four yards of new Kersey Which Kersey the sd Bryan Saith that he never - Saw, nor did any wayes medle or Concern him Self with, nor that the Said Robert hath any Evidence Colour or or pretence for his unjust Scandals & false accusations, but merely out of Envy & malice premeditates to prejudice him ye aforesd Bryan Whereby he the Said Bryan is damnified to ye value of 1000 pounds of Tobacco & thereupon he brings this Sute &ca. {Jno.Doe Worthington. pr Qr. Plegs &ca. Rich:Roe}
And the Dft by Robt. Pirrie Saith he is not guilty in manner & forme & of this he puts himself upon the Country Pirrie pr Dft.
