The Deposition of Teague Riggen Junior Saith that he hath attended the Court as an
Evidence Between George Willson Plentiffe & Thomas Dixon Dft on behalf of the
Defendt eight days and further Saith not
Sworne before me this 19th of 8ber. 1692

   Isaac: Boston Came before me & made Oath that being Sumoned as an Evidence
in a matter depending betwixt George: Wilson plt. & Tho: Dixon. dft on part
of the Defendt. four dayes.

In the name of God Amen the 12th Day of April 1687 in ye third year of ye
Reign of or Soveraign Lord King James ye Second: I Edward Smith of ye County of
Somersett & Province of Maryland: being  Sick and Weake in body, but of Sound & prfect
Memory (praise be given to God for ye Same) and knowing ye uncertainty of this life
one earth: And being Desireous to Settle things in order, doe make this my last will
& testament in manner & form following  That is to Say first & Principally I Commend
my Selfe Soule to almighty God my Creator assuredly beliving yt I shall receive full prden
& full remission of all my Sins. And be Saved by ye pretious merrits of my Blessed
Saviour & redeemer Christ Jesus. And my body to ye earth from whence it was taken to
be buried in Such Decent and Christian manner as my Extrs hereafter named shall
be thought meet & Convenient, And as touching such worldly Estate as ye lord in mercy
hath lent me my will & meaning is ye Same shall be Imployed & bestowed as hereafter
by this my will is Expressed  And first I doe revoak, renounce, frusterate & make void
all wills formerly by me made.  And Declare & appoint this my last will & testament
Item  I Give & bequeath unto my loving Wife who as my Exrx of this my last will and
testament two tracts of land: the one Called Golden quarter Containing three hundred
Acres. And ye other Called Riple Containing four hundred Acres LIkewise I Give unto
my aforesd Extrx my two Nigroes and English woman Servant Dureing her life and
then to returne to my two Daughters Martha & Eliz: I Give & bequeath unto my aforesd
Executrix all my goods B  Debts & Chatles three fether Beds Excepted (yt is to Say)
two fether beds with all furniture unto my two Daughters Martha & Eliz: and one bed
