And this day to witt the Seaventeenth day of September Ano 1692 the foresd
Jurors of that Jury as in folio 68: makes there returne to the Barr in Court and being each man
Called over by his name and being demanded are all unamously agreed of their Verdict. The plt-
and Defendt being likewise Called.  The Verdict is read in Court as followeth (viz) C

Know all men by these presents that James: Smith of Somerset County am holden &
holden & firmly bound unto David Browne of the same County in ye full & just quantity of Six
thousand One hundred thirty & three pounds of good Sound Merchantable leaf tobacco in Cask to contain
the Same to be paid unto the Said David Browne. His Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns Convenient upon
demand in Monokin River in Sd County. to ye which payment well & truly to be made I bind my
Self my Heirs, Extrs & Admrs firmly by these presents. In witness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand and
Seal this fourth day of March. Anno Domini 1691/2
The Condicon of ye above Obligacon is Such yt if ye above bound James Smith Tanner shall well &
truly pay or cause to be paid unto the abovesd David Browne. His Heirs, Execcutors Admrs or Assigns
the just quantity of three thousand fifty & Six pounds of good Sound Merchantable leaf tobacco in
Caske to contain the Same, or imediately bind his estate to the said Brown, then this present Obligacon
to be void & of no effect Otherwise to Stand remaine & be in full force power & vertue _____

Wm: X Elmes his marke                                                               upon ye back side of ye                his marke
Margeret: Ereskin                   abovesd Bond was writt mr Edward Jones?

         principle of 3056 lbs of tobacco due to him by yr friend Ja: IS Smith his mark  „ Sealed
