Know all men by these p^resents that I Robert Nearn of Manoken in Somerset County
& Province of Maryland Merc^ht doe Constitute, depute & appoint my wellbeloved friend
Maj^r Rob^t. King of Monoken in the Sd County & Province my true & lawfull Atto^rney
in my Name Stead and place & for my use to aske & receive from all manner of p^rsons
whatsoever, all and every debt & debts, remnant of debts & demands that now is
or that hereafter Shall at any time or times become due unto me the sd Robert
Nearn, my Heirs Execcutors Adm^rs or Assigns, by Bond Bill accompt or any other way
and in Case of Non payment of Such debts dues and demands . Then I doe hereby
authorize & impower the said Robert King my Said Attorney to arrest attach all
or any person or persons, and to imprison, and by due Course of Law recover &
receive, all Such debts dues and things whatsoever as aforesd from all or any
Such person or persons whatsoever their Heirs Extors Adm^rs. & upon payments B
made, discharges acquittances or any other manner of release, to Seal give and
deliver unto all or any person or persons, by whome Such Satisfaction is made C
hereby irrecoverably, ratifying Confirming & houlding good in Law to all C
intents & purposes, every thing & things, devise & devises lawfully done &
acted in the premises hereby giving & granting full power & Compleat authority
to my Said Attorney, to doe act & Conclude all manner of Acts and actions w^tsoever
in as large and ample manner to all intents purposes & Constructions as I my Self
were p^rsonally present. Wittness my hand & Seal, this twenty Second day of April
