To all Xtian people to whome these precents shall come greeting in or Lord God everlasting know ye that
I Michael: Williams of the County and Province aforesd planter, for divers considerations me hereunto moveing
and especially for the tender love I beare unto my Daughter Rebecca borne of my loving Wife Patience
Williams, doe give unto my said Daughter Rebecca Williams, And by these presents doe absolutely and
freely give unto my sd Daughter Rebecca One Cow comonly calld young Price being of a browne Colour
and white under her belly with a Starr in her forehead, ear marked viz. Cropt on the right and a nick
under each ear and a slitt in the Croppt, allso one young Mare about two year old being of a brownish
Colour, ear marked, vizt Cropt on the right ear and a nick under each ear and a slitt in the cropt. To
have and to hold the said Cow and young Mare with there increase both Male and female to her the
said Rebecca and to her Heirs and Assigns for ever, allwayes provided that my said Daughter shall
not dispose of the said Cow nor Mare nor any of their increase, untill she attains to the age of six
=teen years or the day of her marriage that they remain and and run with my owne untill then and always
provided Notwithstanding the said guift freely given it shall be at my dispose if they increase to many
to sell part of them for the use and benifitt still of my sd Daughter Rebecca In Wittness of y truth
above written I the said Michael: Williams doe hereunto Sett my marke & affix my Seal this four
teenth day of July in the second year of their Maties: Reign William and Mary by the Grace of God of
of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King and Queen defenders of the faith &c. Annoqe Dom

This Indenture Wittnesseth that Nathaniell Dixon Son of Thomas Dixon of Somr:Set County in the
Province of Maryland of his free & voluntary will hath put himselfe apprentice to William Round of the Same
County and Province aforesaid Marriner to Learne the Science or Trade which he now useth to be Taught and
with him after the manner of an apprentice to dwell and Serve from the eight & Twentieth day of July one
Thousand Six hundred and Ninety unto the full end and Terme of Seaven years from thence next ensueing
to be fully Compleated finished and ended By all which term of Seven years the Said apprentice the said William Round well & truly Shall Serve his Secrets Shall keepe Close, his Commandments Lawfull & honest every where he
Shall gladly doe hurt to his Said Master he Shall not do or Suffer to be done to the vallue of Twelve pence or more of
the year but Shall Let if he may or else emediatly admonish his Said Master thereof the goods of his Sd.Master he Shall not
inorditially waste nor them to any body Lend at Dice or any unlawfull game he Shall not play whereby his
Master may incure any hurt: ffornication in the house of his Said Master or else where he Shall not Committ Ma
trimoney he Shall not Contract Tavernes he Shall not frequent with his owne proper goods or any others
during the Said term without the Speciall License of his Said Master he Shall not Merchandize from the ~
Service of his Said Master day or night he Shall not be absent or prolong himselfe.but in all things as a good & faithful
apprentice Shall bear & behave himselfe towards his Said Master and Mistress and all his during the service
aforesad and the Said William Round to his Said apprentice the science or Art which he now useth Shall teach
and inform or Cause to be taught and informed the best way that he may or Can in the Marriners Art And navigation
And also Shall find to his Said apprentice apparell meat drinke washing and Lodging & all other necessaries meet
and Convenient for an apprentice for and duering the term aforesaid: Now this Indenture further witnesseth
that if the Said William Round Should happen to dye before the expiration of the said term of seaven years
above mentioned to be expired it Shall & May then be lawfull for the Said Nathaniell Dixon to be free from
