An Abreviation of the Laws of this Province now in force in Ano Dom. 1688. All Tobacco hds that shall be made are to be 43 Inches & - - - 27 Inches in the head. and not under 42 and 26 Inches. Otherwayes made the Cooper to forfeit a - - - Any Cooper Agreeing wth any Inhabitants to Sett up their Caske shall Sett up one halfe of the Caskes by 2? of 8ber, ye other half by the 10th. Tobacco ye bushell wheat at 4s. or 48lb. Tobacco ye bush. Oats at 2s. or 2.4lb Tob. Barly 2s:6d - 30.lb Tobacco. Pease at 8d or 8lb Tob.? The bushel. Porke at 2d or 2lb. Tobacco Beef at 1½d or 1½ lb Tobacco Bacon at 4d or 4lb Tobacco pr pound - - - (money) is Sterling: Porke & Beef to be cleane and Sweet Sound and Merchantable and to be pd and received good Sufficient Caske and barrell gt 32 gallons nearest of wch. 32l to be allowed for tare. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ports of Exchange wch comes hither protested, the damages allowed by act is 20 pr Cent, over and above ye debt - - - Togeather with ordnary Costs of Suite this to endure 3 years or to ye next Assembly. An Act for the height of fences. All fences for Corne fields to be five feet high sufficient - - - - on the judgment of 2 Men, any horse or cow? breaking in the owner shall pay the damages.
