( 114 ) Maryland Somerset County Sc. William and Mary by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King and Queen defenders of the faith &c. To ffrancis Hill of Somerset County Greeting whereas Richard: HIll of the said County deceased we doe therefore give and grant unto you the said ffrancis Hill full power and authority to Administer all and Singular the goods Chattels and Creditts of the said deceased, and to demand colect and leavy and in legall manner require and receive all and all manner of debt and debts due and Oweing to the said deceased, and well and faithfully to dispose the Same, And out of the goods Chattels and Creditts of the deceased which have may or shall come to your hands or posession, well and truly to pay the debts due by the said deceased, So farr forth as the Same will thereunto extend and the law will charge you, according to the true value of the Sum thereof. You having first taken your Oath well and truly to Administer the Same. And to make or cause to be made, a true and perfect Inventory of all and Singular the goods chattels and Credits of the said deceased, which have may or shall come to your hands posession or knowledge (Appraised in money) And a true and just accompt of and upon your Administration therein and to Exhibit both into our County Court where wills are proved. Touching which Inventory you are presently assigned to performe, or at furthest at or before the Second tuesday in June next after the date hereof, and an accompt within twelve months from the date of these presents. And lastly we do hereby Constitute Ordaine & appoint you the said ffrances Hill Administratrix of all and Singular the goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased. Signed pr Order of Court this tenth day of November in the fourth year of their Maties Reign William & Mary by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland King & Queen defenders of the faith &c. And in the year of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred ninety and One. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Somerset County in Maryland Sc. We doe hereby impower you mr. Samuel Collins, and mr Robert: Peel. to Appraise the goods and Chattels of Richard: Hill deceased you having first taken your Oaths before mr George: Layfield, One of their Maties. Justices of the Peace for this County, and you are to Certifie the true value of the sd goods and Chattels (Appraised in money) under your hands and Seals into our County Court to be holden the Second tuesday in June next at furthest after the date hereof. this pr Order of Court dated the tenth day of November in the fourth year of their Maties Reign. And in the year of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred ninety and One. -- ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Memorandum. this is the Second letters of Admrn granted the first not Administered upon vide fo: 88 Know all men by these presents that we ffrancis: Hill. mr John: Vigerous and Sampson Allen, all of the County of Somerset and Province of Maryland doe acknowledge and Confess our Selves to owe and are indebted unto their Maties William & Mary King & Queen Over England &c. the just Sum of One hundred pound Sterling money of England, which we promise to pay to their Maties their Heirs or Successors for the use of the Orphants of Richard: Hill deceased, and for the true prformance of the Same to be well & truly paid we bind us and each of us our Heirs Execcutors & Admrs firmly by these presents. In Testimony whereof we have hereunto Sett our hands and Seals this 16th day of August in the 3d. year of their Maties Reign. Anno. Dom. 1691. -- |
