from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 48)
AN ACT to repeal Sections 141, 142 and 143 of the Code of
Harford County (1942 Edition), being Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford
County, " sub-title "Circuit Court, " and to enact in lieu
thereof two new sections to be known as Sections 141
and 142, to follow immediately after Section 140 of said
Code and to be under the sub-title "Circuit Court", relating
to the terms of the Circuit Court of Harford County and
the juries and the procedure of said Court.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 141, 142 and 143 of the Code of Harford
County (1942 Edition), being Article 13 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Harford County, "
sub-title 'Circuit Court", be and they are hereby repealed
and that two new sections be and they are hereby enacted
in lieu thereof, said new sections to be known as Sections
141 and 142, to follow immediately after Section 140 of said
Code, to be under sub-title "Circuit Court", and to read as
follows:
CIRCUIT COURT
141. There shall be two terms of the Circuit Court for
Harford County in each year, commencing, respectively, on
the first Monday in May and November; provided that the
jury serving at the effective date hereof shall serve until a
new jury is selected under the provisions herein set forth.
142. In addition to the first day of each term of the Cir-
cuit Court for Harford County, the first Monday in each
other month of the year shall hereafter be a rule day for
the return of process in civil cases, unless the same be a
legal holiday, in which case the next succeeding day shall
be the rule day; for the purpose of pleading in all cases,
including attachment and scire facias cases, the first Mon-
day in each month shall be considered the first day of a
term of court.
