house therein, said school district shall be under the
supervision of the school commissioners of that election
district in which the school house of such school district
shall be located, and shall be entitled to all the advantages,
provisions and privileges secured and intended
to be secured to other primary schools of the county,
by the provisions of this act, and all acts now in force
in relation to the same.

                                   CHAPTER 75.

AN ACT to change the name of Mary Elizabeth Wilhide,
       of Frederick county, to Mary Elizabeth Beam.
     Name changed.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the name of Mary Elizabeth Wilhide,
a minor, of Frederick county, be, and the same is
hereby changed to Mary Elizabeth Beam, and it shall be
lawful for the said Mary Elizabeth Wilhide, at all times
hereafter, to be called and known by, and hold and
use the name of Mary Elizabeth Beam, and by that
name, when she shall have attained the age of womanhood,
to have the right to purchase, sell, convey, devise
or receive property hereafter devised, to sue and be sued
in any court of law or equity.
In force.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

                                   CHAPTER 76.

AN ACT to abolish the taking of security for fines and
     costs imposed in criminal cases in the city of Baltimore,
     and to regulate the imprisonment of persons
     confined for the non-payment thereof.
     Not allowed
to give security.
     Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That no person shall hereafter be allowed
to give security for the payment of any fine and costs
that shall be hereafter imposed by the criminal court of
