CHAPTER
48.
AN ACT supplemental to the several acts relating to
the powers and duties of the Board of Primary Education,
of Worcester county.
|
School fund
to be paid to
trustees.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That from and after the passage of this
act, the portion of the school fund allowed to each district,
in Worcester county, by the board of primary education,
shall be paid by the school agent to the trustees,
who are or shall be appointed by said board, on
the presentation of the order of said board.
|
Each district
to be entitled
to whole amount.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That each district, in
which a school shall be kept for six months in one year,
shall be entitled to the whole amount of said districts
portion of the fund, and to a pro rata proportion for less
time.
|
Trustees to
report annually.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted,
That the trustees receiving
the funds of the several districts, shall report annually
to the said board the disposition of the same.
|
In force.
|
SEC. 4. And be it enacted,
That this act shall be in
effect from and after the day of its passage.
|

CHAPTER
49.
AN ACT to extend the time for the County Commissioners
for Baltimore county to hear appeals and to
make their levy.
|
Authority to
hear appeals.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners for Baltimore
county shall be, and they are hereby authorised
to continue to hear appeals, under the assessment law
passed at the last session, until the twenty-fifth day of
February instant.
|
Time to complete
levy.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That the aforesaid county
commissioners shall have until the tenth day of April
next, to complete their levy for the year eighteen hundred
and fifty-two.
|
Authority to
levy.
|
SEC. 3. And
be it enacted, That the aforesaid commissioners
shall be, and are hereby authorised to levy
for the per diems due to the judges of the Orphans
