CHAPTER 281.
AN ACT amendatory of an act passed January session,
eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter three hundred
and fifty-six, entitled, an act for the removal of the
live stock scales in the city of Baltimore to Baltimore
county.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, it is represented to
this General Assembly
that the amount appropriated at the last session of
the Legislature was insufficient to pay the expenses of
the removal and purchase of the ground and rebuilding
of the live stock scales, as contemplated by the act of
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter
three hundred and fifty-six; Therefore,

draw upon
Treasurer.
Proviso.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following commissioners:
Thomas J. Rusk, Sterling Thomas and Joseph Haines,
named in the act of January session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter three hundred and fifty-six, be
and they are hereby authorised to draw at such times
as they may deem necessary upon the Treasurer for
the whole or any part of the sum of ten thousand dollars
for the completion of the said live stock scales directed
to be built by the said act of eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter three hundred and fifty-six; and
the said Treasurer is hereby directed upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay such sum or sums of money
to the aforesaid commissioners, or their order, out of any
unappropriated money in the Treasury; Provided, said
commissioners give bond as directed by the fourth section
of the said act of January session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, chapter three hundred and fifty-six.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
