CHAPTER
34.
AN ACT to authorise and direct the county commissioners
of Anne Arundel county to lay their levy for
county purposes for the year eighteen hundred and
fifty-two, upon the assessment as made by the act
passed on the twenty-ninth May, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two.

Authority to

levy.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the county commissioners of Anne
Arundel county be, and they are hereby authorized and
directed to lay their annual levy for county purposes
for the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two, upon the
valuation of proper as made in conformity with the
provisions of the act to provide for the general valuation
and assessment of the property in this State, passed on the
twenty-ninth of May, eighteen hundred and fifty-two,
entitled, an act to provide for the general valuation and
assessment of property in this State.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall go
into operation from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER
35.
AN ACT to regulate the compensation of the State's
Attorney of Cecil County.
|
Additional
compensation
allowed.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That in all criminal cases which may
hereafter be tried before a jury in the circuit court for
Cecil county, it may be lawful for the judge of the
said court, in addition to the sum now allowed by law,
to allow to the State's attorney, for the said county
such compensation, not exceeding the sum of thirty
dollars for any one case, as the said judge may deem
just and proper, to be levied and collected from Cecil
county aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
