CHAPTER 229.
AN ACT to pay to William T. Maddox, late clerk of
St. Mary's county court, an amount due him for fees
by the State of Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the treasurer be, and he is hereby
authorised to pay, on the warrant of the comptroller,
to William T. Maddox, late clerk of St. Mary's county
court, the sum of twenty dollars and ninety-three cents,
it being the amount due him for fees by the State of
Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 230.
AN ACT to refund to A. and J. Bonn and Brothers, an
over-payment
of State Taxes.

18, 1853.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Treasurer is hereby authorised
and directed, to pay upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
to A. and J. Bonn and Brothers, of Baltimore city, the
sum of twenty-five dollars, the same having been erroneously
paid by them as State taxes for the year eighteen
hundred and fifty.
