of public works, two hundred dollars, being for his
salary in the past year, the same not having been paid
to him because no appropriation therefor was made.
To William P. Pouder, one of the commissioners of
public works, two hundred dollars, being for his salary
in the past year, the same not having been paid to him
because no appropriation therefor was made.  To John
R. Franklin, one of the commissioners of public works,
two hundred dollars, being for his salary in the past
year, the same not having been paid to him because no
appropriation therefor was made.  And to the Commissioners
of Public Works, (each two hundred dollars.)
To Sheriff and Messenger to the Court of Appeals,
and to the Messenger to the court of Chancery,
the sum of thirteen hundred dollars.  To Anne Gill,
administratrix of Richard W. Gill, for the State's subscription
to the eighth volume, and for the State's subscription
to the ninth volume of Gill's reports of the decisions
of the court of Appeals of Maryland, two thousand
dollars.  To the legal representatives of the late
reporter to the court of appeals of Maryland, for the
said late reporter's salary, five hundred dollars.  To the
legal representatives of the late Alexander C. Magruder,
for the State's subscription to two hundred copies of the
first volume, and for the State's subscription to two hundred
copies of the second volume of Maryland reports,
two thousand dollars.  To the State's subscription to
two hundred copies of the reports of the decisions of
the court of Appeals, one thousand dollars.  To the
Maryland Penitentiary, for the payment of so much on
account of the salaries of its officers, eight thousand dollars.
To African colonization, ten thousand dollars.
To the Adjutant General of the Maryland militia, five
hundred dollars.  To the armorer at Frederick, three
hundred dollars.  To the armorer at Easton, three
hundred dollars.  To the State's tobacco inspectors in
Baltimore, including the salaries of Inspectors of tobacco
and their clerks, and contingent expenses, twenty-one
thousand dollars.  To donations to colleges, academies
and schools, twenty-one thousand four hundred dollars.
To the payment of the several sums of money to be distributed
amongst the counties according to law for the use
of free schools including bonus from banks, dividends
from bank stock standing to the credit of the school
fund and so much of the tax on passengers on the
Washington branch of the Baltimore and Ohio rail
road, as has been substituted for the surplus revenue,
sixty-three thousand five hundred and sixty-eight dollars
and one cent.  To the education of the indigent
blind in addition to the fund already accumulated for
