CHAPTER 125.
AN ACT for the relief of John Richardson, and the
sureties on his bonds as the Collector of the State
taxes in Dorchester County, for the years eighteen
hundred and forty-nine, eighteen hundred and fifty
and eighteen hundred and fifty-one.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, Judgments have been rendered
in the
Circuit court for Dorchester county, in favor of the
State of Maryland against John Richardson, and the
sureties on his bonds as collector of the State taxes in
said county for the years eighteen hundred and forty-nine,
eighteen hundred and fifty and eighteen hundred
and fifty-one, and at the rendition of the said
judgments, no allowance was made to the said John
Richardson, for insolvencies or removals; Therefore,

to
allow for insolvencies.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That this act shall take
effect from the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 126.
AN ACT to authorise the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown
to transfer the stock held by said Town in
the Franklin Rail Road Company.

transfer stock.
|
Be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland,
That the mayor and council of Hagerstown
be, and they are hereby authorised and empowered
to transfer the stock held and owned by said corporation,
in the capital stock of the Franklin rail road
company, subscribed under the act of eighteen hundred
and thirty-eight, chapter two hundred and eighty-two,
to any person or persons, who have or may become the
purchaser or purchasers of said road, for the purpose of
relaying the Franklin rail road without delay, on its
present location to and through the town of Hagerstown,
