                                            CHAPTER 115.

An additional supplement to an act, entitled, " an act, to incorporate
    a company to make the several Turnpike Roads therein mentioned,
    passed at December session, eighteen hundred and fifteen, chapter one
    hundred and ninety.

    SEC. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, 
That all the powers, duties and authorities entrusted to, and
imposed upon the commissioners named in, and appointed by
the act to which this is an additional supplement, and of the
company thereby constituted, be, and the same are hereby revived,
and that all acts and things done by the said commissioners
or company, under and by virtue of the said original act,
shall have the same effect and validity as they would have had
if all the provisions of the said original act had been legally
complied with, and that all the powers and privileges heretofore
granted by the act to which this is an additional supplement be
and they are hereby revived and declared to be in full force.
    Powers received.
    2.  And be it enacted, That the board of managers in this
company shall hereafter consist of seven members including their
president, a majority of whom shall be competent to transact the
business of the company; and the stockholders in this company
are hereby authorised to assembly in the city of Baltimore on the
second Monday of March next, to elect from amongst their own
number, seven managers, who shall choose from their own
body a president, and the president and managers so elected,
shall hold their offices until the second Monday in March eighteen
hundred and twenty seven, or until a new election shall
take place, and the election for managers in this company shall
take place thereafter, on the second Monday of March in each
and every year, under the same authority and in like manner as
directed in the original act.

    3.  And be it enacted, That the government of the United
States, be, and it is hereby authorised and empowered to subscribe
for any number of shares of stock in the said company,
not exceeding three thousand shares, upon the same terms as
other subscribers are authorised to take and subscribe for shares
in said company.

    4.  And be it enacted, That the act, entitled, " An act to incorporate
the Rock Run turnpike road company, passed at December
session eighteen hundred and twenty-four, chapter two hundred
and four," be and the same is hereby repealed.
