                            LAWS OF MARYLAND.

regulate the distributions of the funds of the society among the
members and their families whom sickness or misfortune may
render proper objects of the benevolence of the society, in the
manner prescribed by the constitution of the society.  To make
rules and regulations for the admission of members and for
the expulsion of those whose misconduct may render them unworthy
to remain members thereof; and to make such other
rules and regulations as they consider necessary and expedient
to accomplish the object of the society, and are not repugnant to
the laws of Maryland:  Provided always, That no bye-laws or alteration
in or amendment to the constitution, shall be considered
valid unless proposed for consideration, one month previous
to its adoption; and unless two thirds of the members present
concur in such alteration or amendment; and that any person
who may consider himself aggrieved by any law or regulation of
the society, may at any time withdraw therefrom, and cease to
be a member on relinquishing all claim to the beneficial aid of
the society, and to all the contributions which he may have paid.

                                            CHAPTER 101.

An act to change and alter the name of Freeborn Coppage Dodson, a minor
                    of Queen Anne's county, to Freeborn Coppage.

Passed Feb.
21, 1825.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the name of Freeborn Coppage Dodson a minor of Queen
Ann's county, be and is hereby changed and altered unto the
name of Freeborn Coppage; and it shall and may be lawful for
the said Freeborn Coppage Dodson, at all times hereafter, to be
called and known by, and hold and use the name of Freeborn
Coppage, and by that name to sue, and be sued, in any court of
law or equity.
Name changed.
    2. And be it enacted, That all securities, promises, contracts,
assurances, deeds, and lawful acts whatsoever hereafter to be
made and done by the name of Freeborn Coppage, shall be of
the same force and effect and equally avail to all intents and
purposes, as if the name of Freeborn Coppage, had been the
original and proper name of the said Freeborn Coppage Dodson.

                                            CHAPTER 102.

An act empowering the levy courts of Harford and Baltimore counties,
    to build a bridge over the Little Gunpowder Falls, at the Rock
    Ford.

Passed Feb.
22, 1826.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be lawful for the levy courts of Harford and Baltimore
Levy authorised—
