                        JOS. KENT, ESQ. GOVERNOR.

the money arising from the sale of the timber and wood aforesaid
to the extinction of the debt due for the purchase of the
aforesaid real estate, in such manner as the justices of the orphans
court shall or may direct.

Compensation.     4.  And be it enacted, That the trustee or trustees who may be
appointed by the justices of the orphans court aforesaid, shall
be entitled to, for their services, any sum the justices aforesaid
may allow, not exceeding eight per centum upon the amount of
the timber and wood so sold.

                                            CHAPTER 89.

            An act for the relief of Mary Ebrecht, of Washington county.

    Authority
annulled.
    SEC. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, 
That from and after the passage of this act, Henry Ebrecht,
shall be, and he is hereby altogether deprived of all and
every interest, authority, power and control in over and to
the person and property of Mary Ebrecht, his wife, as fully as
if she had never been married.
    Capability
granted.
    2.  And be it enacted, That the said Mary Ebrecht shall be,
and she is hereby empowered and declared capable to have,
hold, take, receive, sue for and recover by compromise, suit or
suits in law or equity, her just share and proportion of the estate,
real and personal of her father John Mayer of Washington county,
who lately died intestate, and all property of any kind whatever,
real, personal or mixed in as full and ample a manner as if
she were a feme sole, and to use and enjoy, or dispose of the
same at her will or pleasure, by deed, last will and testament
or otherwise, and may sue and be sued in her own name as if
she were a feme sole.
Liability annulled.     3.  And be it enacted, That from and after the passage of this
act, the said Henry Ebrecht shall not be liable for any debts
hereafter to be contracted by the said Mary Ebrecht.

                                            CHAPTER 90.

            An act respecting the new Jail of Washington county.

Work-house
apartment.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Washington county be, and they are
hereby authorised and directed to designate and set apart suitable
apartments in the new jail of said county, to be known and
denominated as the work house of Washington county, and to be
kept for the purposes hereinafter mentioned by the sheriff for the
time being, of the said county, under the superintendance and
control of the levy court.
    Vagrants
committed.
    2.  And be it enacted, That whenever by the existing laws, any
vagrant or vagrants or other lewd or dissolute person or persons
